PatchCodex

Terms of Service

Last updated September 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using PatchCodex, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the service.

2. About PatchCodex

PatchCodex is a gaming intelligence service that organizes and summarizes information about game updates and uses connected account information to help determine which changes may be relevant to you.

PatchCodex is currently under development. Features may change, be added, be removed, or occasionally be unavailable as the service develops.

3. Steam Connection

PatchCodex may allow you to authenticate through Steam and use information made available through Steam's services to provide personalized features.

You are responsible for maintaining your Steam account and complying with any terms that apply to your use of Steam. PatchCodex does not receive or store your Steam password.

PatchCodex is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation or Steam.

4. Game Information and Summaries

PatchCodex may collect, organize, process, and summarize publicly available game information, including patch notes, update announcements, balance changes, and similar materials.

PatchCodex summaries are intended to help users understand relevant changes more quickly. They are not a replacement for official patch notes or announcements from a game's developer or publisher.

5. Artificial Intelligence

Some PatchCodex features use artificial-intelligence systems to extract, organize, rank, or summarize information.

AI-generated information may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or interpret source material incorrectly. You should consult official game sources when accuracy is especially important.

6. Permitted Use

You may use PatchCodex for personal, lawful gaming-information purposes.

You may not use PatchCodex to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to PatchCodex systems, accounts, databases, or infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or intentionally disrupt operation of the service.
  • Abuse automated requests, scraping, or other access methods in a manner that places unreasonable load on the service.
  • Use PatchCodex to develop, distribute, or facilitate cheats, exploits, unauthorized in-game automation, or other activity that violates applicable game rules or terms.
  • Use the service for unlawful purposes.

7. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for activity performed through your PatchCodex session and for using reasonable measures to protect access to your devices and connected accounts.

You may disconnect from PatchCodex by logging out, and you may permanently delete your PatchCodex account data through the Account page.

8. Third-Party Services

PatchCodex relies on third-party services and may link to websites, games, platforms, or services operated by other companies. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

PatchCodex is not responsible for the availability, content, policies, or operation of third-party services.

9. Intellectual Property

PatchCodex does not claim ownership of third-party games, trademarks, patch notes, artwork, or other materials belonging to their respective owners.

The PatchCodex software, interface, organization, original content, and service functionality may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

10. Availability and Changes

PatchCodex is provided on an as-available basis. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, particularly during development and beta testing.

We do not guarantee that every game, update, patch, or gameplay change will be detected or available through PatchCodex.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, PatchCodex is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not guarantee that the service will always be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, PatchCodex and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

13. Suspension or Termination

Access to PatchCodex may be restricted or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, third-party systems, or to address violations of these Terms.

14. Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use PatchCodex. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to use an online service without parental consent, that higher age applies.

15. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated as PatchCodex develops. When material changes are made, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
